Citibank announces the appointment of Yuri Golovanov as Head of Legal Department, where he will oversee legal support for all aspects of the Citi’s business in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Prior to this appointment, Yuri Golovanov led the legal department at the Russian subsidiary of Morgan Stanley and earlier held various positions at the law firm Clifford Chance in Moscow and New York.

Andrey Kurilin, COO, Citi Russia, said: “Yuri has a wealth of experience in banking services and capital markets, and we are counting on him making a great contribution to our continued success.”

Yuri Golovanov graduated from the School of International Law at the Moscow State Institute of International Affairs (MGIMO), received an LLM at Northwestern University in Chicago, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
