OREANDA-NEWS. May 08, 2013. In Q1, 2013 the average clearance prices on agricultural products in Moldova grew 10.4% versus the same period in 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the average clearance prices on plant products grew at the average 20.5% in January-February, 2013, but the average clearance prices on animal products lowered 5.1%.

The most impressive in Q1, 2013 was the growth of prices on grapes by 2.5 times, potatoes by 2.3 times, grain and leguminous crops by 15.7% as compared with the same period in 2012. In particular, prices on wheat grew 30.5%, corn – 34.8%, and sunflower – 21.8%. The prices on poultry and cattle in live weight decreased 2.6%.

By this, sheep and goat meat decreased 19.5%, poultry meat – 9.6%. The prices on eggs lowered 17%, on pork – 0.5%. But the prices on beef and milk grew 27% and 6.4%, respectively. It is worth mentioning, that the prices on agricultural products in Moldova grew 17.7% in 2012.
