Tanker "Almetyevsk" design RST25 by Zelenodolsk plant named after A.M. Gorkiy is the first serial tanker, constructed at Tatarstan Republic shipyard. Its design has considered the special requirements of Russian and world-known oil companies as well as the strict requirements of environmental safety "ECO" ("CLEAN DESIGN" identified as DNV).

Implementation of Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex was launched in 2005 with the aim to develop oil refining industry in Tatarstan. Construction was initiated by RT Government and Tatneft.

The target of the project is to ensure high–tech, efficient and environment-friendly oil processing with the production of competitive marketable products. The first startup complex units produce gasoline, furnace oil, commercial kerosene, liquefied gas, vacuum gasoil, fuel oil, sulfur. Upon Project implementation completion a wide range of oil processed products including motor fuels of EURO-5 standard are envisaged for production.

The first stage of Oil Refining and Petrochemical complex TANECO has been in steady industrial operation mode since December 2011. Only in 2012 over 7 mln. tons of crude was processed, 980 563 tons of straight run gasoline, 1 599 323 tons of vacuum gasoil, 2 019 731 tons of commercial mazout, 2 137 893 tons of furnace oil and some other products were produced.

At present TANECO products are shipped year-round by railway, by trucks, pumped by pipelines and by ship during navigation.
