OREANDA-NEWS. ALIDI, the leading Russian distribution and logistic services provider, concluded a contract with “M.Video” to run the Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) of the company in Murmansk. According to this contract ALIDI provides “M.Video” with such services as goods handling and goods storage.

The RDC in Mumansk was opened to service the new shopping centre of the leading Russian retailor of household appliances, which started its work on the 27th of March. The new shopping centre is located on 20/3, Leningradskaya street, Murmansk.

The format of the RDC in Murmansk is almost similar to other regional projects with “M.Video”. Before launching the project ALIDI team estimated the free space in the warehouse and planned goods arrangement. The ALIDI’s warehouse in Murmansk has an area of 2880 sq.m. and it is located on 8, Domostroitelnaya street.

ALIDI and the “M.Video” cooperate since 2005. ALIDI provides services to National Distribution Centres of "M.video" located in Moscow and Nizhniy Novgorod and runs 5 more Regional Distribution Centres in Syktyvkar, Arkhangelsk/Severodvinsk (the storage is in Arkhangelsk), Vologda/Cherepovets (the storage is in Vologda), Ryazan and Ukhta.

“M.Video” is the leader among Russian retail sales networks of electronics and household appliances in Russia and one of the biggest European companies in this segment. Moreover, “M.Video” is the only Russian public non-product chain. The chain “M. Video” functions since 1993. More than 300 shops of the chain work in 135 cities of Russia.
