ICBC Provides Emergency Financial Services to Quake-Hit Area
OREANDA-NEWS. May 07, 2013. After the Lushan county of Ya'an city in Sichuan Province was hit by 7.0-magnitude earthquake on April 20, ICBC immediately took action to provide emergency financial services for the relief work. ICBC outlets in the affected areas are open as soon as possible and spare no efforts in offering necessary financial services to meet the needs of the customers in quake-hit area.
ICBC Sichuan Ya'an Branch has 17 outlets and 402 employees. So far, there is no report of ICBC employees being among the casualties, and no outlet has been collapsed. All monies in these ICBC outlets are safe.
According to an ICBC official, ICBC is making all necessary arrangements to reopen the outlets in the quake-stricken area. Two sub-branches in Ya'an: Hanyuan County Sub-branch and Shimian County Sub-branch, which are not badly hit, are open to business again. Other ICBC outlets in Ya'an are now providing emergency financial services to customers through self-service for their urgent needs.
Meanwhile, ICBC approaches local army, financial department involved in the relief work and other industries or companies (electricity, telecommunication, highway) which have been badly hit by the earthquake in the first instance, and makes all preparation to provide emergency financial services to ensure disbursement of relief funds and cash withdrawal.
