OREANDA-NEWS.  May 07, 2013. May payment of pensions is funded in the amount of UAH 3.6 billion. This was reported by Minister of Social Policy of Nataliya Korolevska. She said the advance funding of pension payments is associated with a large number of weekends and holidays at the beginning of the month.

"This year almost the entire first decade of May is weekends and holidays. But it is these days are usually the period when we pay pensions. In order to avoid delays, the Pension Fund started to finance payment of pensions to citizens who receive them before the 6th day of each month in advance. It has been already are transferred to the regions over UAH 3.6 billion for these needs," she said.

According to the Minister, banks have to transfer the funds to accounts of recipients by the end of the day. Citizens who do not have payment cards, branches of JSC Oschadbank will settle money at the duty box office on 3 and 4 May. In those days the employees of Ukrpochta (Post office) will pay pensions to those who receive them in post offices.

"Thus, despite the fact that state and municipal institutions do not work, pension payments will be made with the highest compliance to the schedule. Further pension payments will be made at a regular schedule," she said.
