Belavia Opened Flight to Samara
OREANDA-NEWS. On the 28th of April the National Airline Company Belavia opened a new flight on the route Minsk-Samara-Minsk, which was among seven existing directions to the Russian Federation.
The flights to International Airport “Kurumoch” will be carried out 2 times a week mostly on the CRJ-100/200 aircraft. An estimated flight time to Samara is 2 hours and 20 minutes, and 2 hours and 30 minutes back.
“I’m sure that passengers will highly evaluate the services and opportunities offered by Belavia on international directions. Primarily a new direction in destinations network means for the company the growth of passenger flow and increase of air cargo delivery. Most of the passengers of the flight from Samara are connecting passengers flying further to the places of Western Europe through Minsk. The first flight was made on a more spacious aircraft Boeing-737/500 in order to satisfy high passengers’ demands”, - said Gusarov Anatoliy, General Director of the National Airline Company “Belavia” RUE (Republican Unitary Enterprise).
The cooperation between Belarusian air carrier and International Airport “Kurumoch” promotes the flight connections of two countries and increases connecting passengers flow through Minsk.
International Airport “Kurumoch” was brought into service in 1961. Nowadays there are two runways, parking places for simultaneous staying of 50 aircrafts, terminal system with Total Square of 11.340 sq. m, as well as cargo terminal with an acceptance rate of 200 ton per day in the airport. An acceptance rate of this air terminal complex is 750 passengers per hour, including 600 passengers per hour on inner airlines and 150 passengers per hour on international airlines. In 2012 total amount of passengers of International Airport “Kurumoch” made up to 1,890,483. The airport is situated on the direction of 35 kilometers north from Samara and 45 kilometers east from Tolyatti.
