OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank CIB, the corporate and investment banking unit of the Sberbank Group, announces the appointment of Igor Ukrasin as Co-Head of Sector Investment Banking and Head of Energy, Managing Director. Igor joins on May 14, 2013, and will report to Todd Berman, Head of Investment Banking, Managing Director.

Igor Ukrasin joins Sberbank CIB after fifteen years at Credit Suisse, where he was based in London and held the position of Managing Director, Investment Banking Division, European Energy Group. He comes to Sberbank CIB with global M&A and capital markets experience, having advised on some of the most significant energy transactions in recent years, in addition to providing general advisory services to leading companies in the industry. Igor graduated with honors from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he specialized in finance and real estate. Igor also holds a degree from the American Institute of Business and Economics in Moscow.

This appointment is the latest in a number of senior hires at Sberbank CIB. Recent additions to the Global Markets team include Steven Weller, who was appointed as Head of FX Trading, Managing Director, Bill Beller as Head of Equity Options Trading, Managing Director, and Robert Hagon as Co-head of Equity Sales Trading, Managing Director. Sberbank Investment Research, the award-winning research division of Sberbank CIB, also recently appointed Kingsmill Bond as Chief Strategist, Managing Director and Andrey Kuznetsov as Strategist.
