The National Conference on the results of autumn – winter season for electric companies annually gets together the heads of companies in the sector and representatives of federal legislative and executive bodies to discuss the results of autumn – winter maximum peak load in the energy system and the plans for developing the electric power industry.

The Head of the Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) for Control over Electric Power Industry, Vitaly Korolyov, discussed the trends in violations of the antimonopoly law by the industry companies, expected changed in the law on electric power industry and the measures towards improving and regulation over access to electric power infrastructure.

“Considerable steps for improving the law on technological connections to electric power networks are already taken: the volume of beneficial connection is increased from 100 to 150 KW; the forms of standard contracts for technological connection, particularly by redistributing capacity; the notification procedures are established for commissioning energy-receiving devices for up to 670 KW. A lot still has to be done. In particular, in the near future we will look into the issues of connecting to distributing devices of energy generators and introducing a possibility to submit and follow-up execution of an e-application for technological connection to electric power networks, pointed out Vitaly Korolyov.
