OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2013. The 9th Arbitration Appeal Court pronounced legitimacy of the decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) regarding participants of the cartel on the market of liquid caustic.

On 27 December 2011, FAS established the fact of over 20 chemical companies participating in the cartel agreement, which resulted or could have resulted in fixing and maintaining prices on the market.

The FAS Commission established the facts of economically and technologically unjustified refusals to conclude contracts with the buyers of liquid caustic.

“The decision of the Appeal Court once again confirmed the fact of hard-core cartel on the market of liquid caustic, that existed over seven years”, pointed out Deputy Head of the FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenischev.
