Odessa-Brody Pipeline Can Be Used for Supply to Ukrainian Enterprises
OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2013. With resumption of national oil processing industry Odessa-Brody pipeline can be used for supplies of oil to Ukrainian enterprises. This was announced in an interview to the Dzerkalo Tyzhnya (Mirror of the Week) by a Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko.
“Odessa-Brody worked primarily in reverse regime. Afterwards, it was stopped, changed to averse regime. I am convinced that the moment we start activization of our own processing it will operate in averse regime once again. And we will supply oil by using it – whether through swap or directly to enterprises which will increase processing,” the Vice Prime Minister said.
Moreover, he emphasized that except for the position of Slovakian side Odessa-Brody oil pipeline would have been used long for supply of petroleum to Czech processing enterprises.
“We had an agreement with them and we were ready to supply Azerbaijan oil to Kralupy, Czech enterprises. But, unfortunately, certain pressure emerged and Transpetrol refused to let our oil through to Europe. It is one more moment that caused us to pay close attention to keeping the rules by Europeans,” Yuriy Boyko said.
