OREANDA-NEWS. "SGM" Group of companies completed the construction installation works and carried out tests on the main string of gas pipeline "Onshore Processing Facilities of Kirinskoye gas condensate field – Sakhalin Main Compressor Station".

The length of the gas pipeline is 138 km. At present preparatory arrangements for testing of the reserve string (7 km), as well as installation of geotechnical monitoring and communication systems are performed.

The gas pipeline "Kirinskoye gas condensate field OPF – Sakhalin MCS" is designed for provision of gas supply to Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas transmission system from production fields on the Sea of Okhotsk shelf. The pipeline diameter is 1020 mm, the pressure is 9.8 MPa.

The fact that gas pipeline is laying in the zone of high seismicity was taking into account to select the construction techniques. In particular, the gas pipeline route crossed three zones of active tectonic faults, each of them has its own name — "The Nabil River", "The Tym River" and "The Loschina" area.

LLC "Gazprom Invest Vostok" is the Customer of the pipeline construction. It is scheduled to be commissioned in June 2013.
