OREANDA-NEWS. May 03, 2013. As of April 1 there are 5.2 million heads of cattle in all categories of economy in Ukraine, it is by 3.4% more than in the same period of last year.

The main increase in the number of cattle - 5.2% - has occurred in households. Such an increase in livestock happened due to the payment of subsidies for the maintenance and keeping of young cattle.

Already from the beginning of the year, the villagers received UAH 63.8 million of grants. This was started by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.
