OREANDA-NEWS. Closed Joint Stock Company Nevyansky Cementnic, belonging to the EUROCEMENT Group Holding, started an overhaul of the rotary furnace designed for production of cement semi-finished product (clinker brick). Regular repairs are performed as one of the process stages to make the plant ready for the peak load season.

While the furnace is idle, i.e. from March 26 to April 14, the plant will complete huge scope of repairs of both basic plant and auxiliary equipment.

In particular, the scope of work covers replacement of liner plates of the rotary furnace hot end, installation of which will increase the service life of equipment up to one year and improve its reliability. Mill exhaust fan designed for the flue gas suction from the raw mill No. 2 will be furnished with the newly designed rotor wheel that will extend duration of the exhaust fan operation.

Group of refractory gunmen of CJSC Nevyansky Cementnic will provide refractory lining for the furnace, protecting structural steel from the high temperature impacts, which will improve their reliability. In addition to customary refractory bricks, refractory gunmen will use for the rotary furnace cladding a high-strength periclase-spinel refractory, which is traditionally used for the construction of blast-furnaces.

“To perform large scale repair works all repair staff of the Nevyansky CementnicRepairs Department are engaged, and, in addition, a few subcontractors,” points out Pavel Semenov, Deputy Technical Director. “Perfect coordination of all repair services will allow completion of the work on time and with the due quality.”
