OREANDA-NEWS. BM&FBOVESPA held a ceremony to celebrate the start of trading in the units of electricity transmission and generation company Alupar Investimentos (ALUP11), in the Level 2 listing segment.

Alupar is a holding company in the energy sector, specifically transmission and generation, seeking development and investment in infrastructure projects related to the energy sector in Brazil and the other countries of Latin America.

Alupar is the transmission segment’s market leader in profitability terms, when compared to the other listed companies in the sector in Brazil.

The company is also the largest 100% private-sector firm in Brazil’s electricity transmission sector and one of the five largest overall.
