Ukraine and Ireland Discussed Double Taxation
OREANDA-NEWS. Minister of finance of Ukraine Yuriy Kolobov met with (TD) for the Dublin South - West constituency and Minister of State at the Department of Finance of Ireland Brian Hayes and the Ambassador of Ireland to Ukraine Alison Kelly.
Following the meeting was signed Convention on avoidance of double taxation between Ukraine and Ireland.
"Today's event shall be marked as important step towards intensification of bilateral cooperation between our countries. Convention signing will allow continuation of further investment stimulation in whole sectores of economy prior for both countries", - underlined Yuriy Kolobov.
At present, investment in Ukrainian economy is gaining phased progress . Ireland occupies 14th place among 128 countries, the largest investor in Ukrainian economy.
According to Yuriy Kolobov, Ukrainian Government is taking effective measures for economic amelioration and improvement of investment attractiveness for national economy, introduction of transparent mechanisms of work in economic sectors and recovery of investment processes.
During the meeting, Minister of Finance of Ukrainian also noted Ireland's significant contribution to the development of EU-Ukraine dialogue and thanked them for their support of Ukrainian European integration cours.
In turn, Minister of State at the Department of Finance of Ireland of Ireland Brian Hayes thanked Yuriy Kolobov for assistance and participation in strengthening of economic cooperation between Ukraine and Ireland.
"Positive development and strengthening of trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Ireland will create new opportunities for both countries. I am confident that together we will contribute to the preservation and development of this dynamic", - summarized Yuriy Kolobov.
