OREANDA-NEWS. Lipetskcement CJSC plant, being a part of EUROCEMENT Group Holding, has become the winner of the competition “100 best companies of Russia. Ecology and environmental management”. The enterprise was awarded a diploma and a gold medal; moreover, Vladimir Sokoltsev, Director General of Lipetsk cement plant, was awarded a badge of honor “Ecologist of the year– 2013”.

Lipetskcement CJSC was awarded the prize in the competition “100 best companies of Russia. Ecology and environmental management” on the recommendation of Ecology and Natural Resources Authority of the Lipetsk Region and on the basis of the proposal of Council of Federation Committee on Agricultural and Food Policy and Environmental Management.

Award ceremony was held in Saint Petersburg within the seventh annual All-Russia conference “Ecology and production. Prospects for the development of economic mechanisms for environment protection”. The conference was carried out with the assistance of Council of Federation Committee on Agricultural and Food Policy and Environmental Management; the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Environmental Management and Ecology; the State Duma Committee on Education; international parliamentarians organization supporting well-balanced environment "Globe-International"; Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Russia; Russia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Russian Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists; International Academy of Quality and Marketing; and Russian Ecologists Club.

It is a double pleasure to take such a prestigious award in 2013, in the Year of Environment Protection, announced in Russia by Vladimir Putin Presidential Edict.
