OREANDA-NEWS. Maltsovky Portland Cement CJSC, being a part of EUROCEMENT Group Holding, has produced 647 187 tons of cement within three months of the current year which exceeds the same parameter of the previous year by 34.3 % (165 387 tons).

Total cement shipments to customers during the first quarter 2013 is 635,624 tons which exceeds the January-March 2012 value by 26.3 %. With that 9 % (57 121 tons) of the finished products were shipped by road trucks and 91% (578 503 tons) – by rail.

It shall be noted that total factory shipments include 73.2% of CEM I 42.5 N and PTS 500-D0-N, produced based on the closed loop milling technology. In recent years there is a growing market for these products.

The plant has successfully coped with all the first quarter planned tasks. Finished slurry production is 980 724 tons, cement unfinished product (clinker) – 638 640 tons. The development of the company's own quarry provides a trouble-free operation of the plant. The miners of Maltsovskoye karyeroupravleniye have quarried 1 094 359 tons of chalk stone, 312 471 tons of clay and 12 310 tons of fossil meal. The volume of mine stripping work in the quarries is 901,087 m3.

Maltsovsky Portland Cement CJSC performs repair operations of the core process equipment in full accordance with the plans, aiming at preparation of the plant for the hot season. Since the start of the year capital repairs have been performed for two rotary furnaces, eight clinker-grinding mills and packing station equipment. At the present time repair operations for the rotary furnace No. 10 and the cement mill No. 16 are in progress. The plant entire mill farm will be ready for the summer season by May and furnaces No. 7 & 10 repair operations will be completed by the end of July.
