China Life Launches Contingency Plan to Earthquake Disaster
OREANDA-NEWS. April 30, 2013. A powerful earthquake measured 7 on the Richter scale struck off Lushan County, Ya'an City in Sichuan Province.
China Life instantly launched its contingency plan:
built up earthquake claims support teams, and set up 18 on - spot claims service counters to manage client consolation and claims services.
Meanwhile, China Life put forward 20 major emergency service measures to simplify claim procedures and make every effort in helping disaster - stricken policyholders.
To date, China Life has preliminarily identified 20 death and 41 injured policyholders.
First ten claim benefits have been paid out (totaled RMB 453,400) and the rest claims are processed in due course.
Meanwhile, China Life announced to donate RMB 10 million to Quake - stricken areas and provide full sponsorship to the orphans in disaster areas which is tantamount to RMB 600 per month per orphan for their basic living expenses, taking effect from the disaster day until they reach 18 years old. In addition, China Life also donated accident injury insurance coverage of RMB 200, 000 per person to the journalists, doctors and nurses, PLA man, policemen and armed police officers who are engaged in rescue and relief work
