OREANDA-NEWS. April 30, 2013. China National Technical Import and Export Corporation (CNTIC) was granted the agency contract for tender procurement of equipment and goods for Tianhe Airport Expansion Project Phase III in Wuhan.

CNTIC will provide equipment and goods procurement tender service for the expansion project.

The total investment of Tianhe Airport Expansion Project Phase III is RMB 15.959 billion yuan. The engineering will follow Grade 4F standard. It will build the second runway of 3600m long and 60m wide. The designed passenger and cargo throughput by the year of 2020 are 35 million persons and 440 thousand tons respectively.

The project is to be completed within the 12th Five-year Plan period. The airport after the project completion will become the aviation hub of central China.
