Khakassia and SUEK Continue Their Socioeconomic Cooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. Victor Zimin, the Chair of the Government of the Republic of Khakassia acting as the head of the Republic, and Vladimir Rashevsky, CEO of the Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) signed Socioeconomic Cooperation Agreement.
The document defines the key areas of interaction between the Republic authorities, SUEK and Eniseyskaya TGC (TGC-13) in implementing the essential socioeconomic projects based within Khakassia.
By way of illustration, SUEK and Eniseyskaya TGK will support the 3rd International Forum "Historical and cultural legacy as a resource for sociocultural development" and the Khakassia national holiday "Tun Pairam" to be held as part of the International Festival of Street Theatres within the Forum's framework: will fund health improvement programs for children and veterans of the coal industry of the Republic of Khakassia using rehabilitation facilities supervised by the Presidential Executive Office and located in the Moscow Region, will provide financing for events to be run as part of the Victory Day celebration. The social areas funded by SUEK and Eniseyskaya TGK include assistance to the disabled; healthcare and educational programs; investment programs for social development of the Republic of Khakassia. In all, the Agreement provides for implementation of approximately 20 socioeconomic projects to the total amount of 40,000,000 rubles.

I am truly happy to have established constructive working relations with the authorities of Khakassia, which enable us to solve important economic and social issues effectively, to further the development of this region," said SUEK CEO V. V. Rashevsky after the Agreement signing ceremony.
