OREANDA-NEWS.   A regular meeting of Intergovernmental Turkmen- Kazakh Commission for economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation was held in Ashgabat. Representative delegation at the head of the Minister of Oil and Gas of Republic of Kazakhstan Sauat Mynbayev arrived in the Turkmen capital for participation in it.

The officials and senior specialists of several ministries and departments, including transport structures of two friendly countries were the participants of the meeting held at the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral resources of Turkmenistan. Its agenda included a wide range of issues touching upon practically whole spectrum of bilateral cooperation.

Participants of the session noted that as a result of activity realized since previous meeting held in Astana in August 2012, the decisions were particularly fulfilled. It was underlined that in connection with forthcoming completion of the construction of Uzen-Gyzylgaya-Bereket-Etrek-Gorgan railroad – key section of transnational transport corridor “North-South”, new steel main will attach impulse to further development of trade-economic ties.

It was held a view exchange on prospects of dialogue in oil and gas sphere. Members of the Commission also discussed the tasks on establishment of closer humanitarian ties. According to the result of work, Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission signed a relevant protocol.
