JSC Zaporizhstal Delivered Teaching Training for Zaporozhye Citizens
OREANDA-NEWS. On the 23d of April, 2013, in Zaporozhye, with participation of Rinat Akhmetov’s “Development of Ukraine” Fund, the second training within the framework of contest “We are the city” for the best social projects of JSC Zaporizhstal made for the representatives of public organizations and initiative groups.
We remind that the first training on social projecting made for the representatives of Zaporozhye general public was delivered on the 9th of April, 2013, also with participation of Rinat Akhmetov’s “Development of Ukraine” Charity Fund. Its purposes included training of the participants of “We are the City” contest for fundamentals of the social project planning: to analyze and to outline a problem, to discover the needs of their target groups, to put forward attainable aims and goals, to make planning for events and budget.
The second training was delivered by Olga Shchetinina, Director of Analysis, Planning and Evaluation Department of Rinat Akhmetov’s Charity Fund “Development of Ukraine”. Its topic was monitoring and evaluation of the social projects. The training was attended by more than 60 potential participants of “We are the City” contest — the representatives of public, charity and youth organizations, the workers of the library system and of the educational institutions, culture and science professionals, representatives of art, musical and sports schools.
In the course of training, Olga Shchetinina, the Moderator, told about the importance of permanent monitoring of the results in the course of a project realization. The training participants came to know about the role, principles and methods of the evaluation process, about the sequence of actions while evaluating of a social project.
"I’m sure that the contest “We are the City” would contribute to development of Zaporozhye. This training would help the contest participants in practical realization of the projects as because in order to achieve a maximum effect, it is necessary not only to write but also to perform monitoring and evaluation of a social project correctly".
The applications for participation in the contest “We are the City” for the best social projects among the public, municipal institutions and the citizens are accepted until the 30th of April, 2013. From the 1st of May, 2013, the second stage of the contest starts, in the course of which, evaluation of the projects suggested by the participants would be carried out and the winners would be decided on.
