Kazakh PM Discussed Design of Complex of EXPO 2017
OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2013. Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov met with the participants of the competition to develop the architectural design of the complex of the international exhibition EXPO 2017 at Ukimet Uyi.
As Akhmetov noted, "holding such a large-scale specialized event is of great interest, both in the international community and in our country." This imposes a great responsibility on the organizers.
"One of the important stages of preparation for the exhibition is the development of the architectural design of EXPO 2017," Akhmetov stressed. He added that Kazakhstan would provide transparent and open competition at all stages.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "NC "Astana EXPO 2017" - Minister of Environmental Protection Nurlan Kapparov and Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "NC "Astana EXPO 2017" Talgat Yermegiyayev presented the concept of the exhibition.
At the end of the meeting Prime Minister Akhmetov thanked the guests for their participation in the competition and wished success in the future joint work.
The competition involves architects representing Italy, USA, Germany, Britain, South Korea, the Netherlands, China, Turkey, Spain, Russia, Japan, Kazakhstan.
