FAS Took Part in EU - Russia Energy Dialogue in Brussels
OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2013. “It is necessary to form working elements of non-discriminatory access in most natural monopolies”, stated the Head of the Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) for Control over Electric Power Industry Vitaly Korolyov at a meeting of the Working Group on Energy Markets and Strategies.
In the workshop on 15th April 2013, took part representatives of the European Commission, representative of the authorities and energy companies of European countries and Russia. Vitaly Korolyov made a report on antimonopoly regulation of the electric power sector.
In the follow-up discussion, Mr Korolyov highlighted regulation of introducing technologies of renewable energy sources the methods of government stimulation, their development, and the issues of developing government policy in electric power industry and delineation of powers between the authorities on regulating the industry at the national level.
“Taking part in international events of such level enables to understand which issues are the most pressing for discussing with foreign colleagues, both representatives of regulatory bodies and energy companies”, pointed out Vitaly Korolyov.
