OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2013. Deputy Head of the Anti-Cartel Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Andrey Tenishev took part in a workshop on public procurement for the member-states of the World State Organization (WTO) organized by the Ministry of Economic Development.

His presentation on “Exposing and Suppressing Bid-Rigging in the Russian Federation” generated considerable interest of the workshop participants and a vivid discussion.

Representatives of WTO Secretariat highly ranked FAS anti-bid-rigging practice and pointed out that it meets the top world standard.

“Suppressing bid-rigging is one of FAS priorities. There are severe administrative and criminal sanctions for bid-rigging, and our aim is not only exposing and punishing the violators but also preventing violations in general”, stated Andrey Tenishev.
