OREANDA-NEWS. METALLOINVEST and LLC Zeppelin Russland announced the signing of a contract for the supply of six Caterpillar® 789D dump trucks with average carrying capacity of 180 tonnes for operation in the production areas of the mining enterprises of METALLOINVEST. According to the terms of the contract, the equipment will be delivered during 2013.

Cat® 789D dump trucks are designed specifically to serve large quarries such as the open-pits at Lebedinsky GOK (“LGOK”) and Mikhailovsky GOK (“MGOK”). Vehicles provide transportation of large volumes of material, leading to a reduction in unit costs. In the development of the vehicles, all the components, which are produced by Caterpillar, contribute to the optimal combination of high performance, as well as operational availability and load, and have low maintenance costs and long service life.
