OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2013. Switzerland-based pumping solutions provider Sulzer Pumps has opened its third service center in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China.

The new service facility will further strengthen the company's service network in the Chinese market. Sulzer Pumps' new service center is expected to cater to the needs of the oil and gas, hydrocarbon processing and power industries. The center is expected to provide technical service support, repairs and overhauling of pumps.

The company has entered into a long-term service and maintenance contract with PetroChina for the Sichuan Petrochemical project, where almost 700 pumps are installed. Suzler Pumps' new center is well located to serve its customers quickly and reduce logistics time and costs.

The fully equipped service facility with a range of machine tools, inspection and assembly areas will perform overhaul and repair activities for both Sulzer Pumps range, as well as other original equipment manufacturers.
