OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2013. “The Government is developing transport infrastructure of the region. In particular, in Sevastopol building of a new motor bridge is coming to end,” a Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Vilkul said during a field meeting on the construction site in Sevastopol. In the meeting were also participating Minister of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services Hennadiy Temnyk and head of Sevastopol municipal state administration Volodymyr Yatsuba.

“This infrastructure project has an important meaning for Sevastopol. The new bridge will afford to let through dozens of thousands of transport means. Under support of the Government of Ukraine the town is modernizing the road infrastructure,” Olexandr Vilkul said.

The new bridge near the railway station will become the main way of land transport communication between Lenin and Nakhimov areas of the town. Owing to it the number of traffic lanes will be increased from three to five. It will ensure travel along two stripes from the center of town and along three stripes – from Korabelna side and also will increase the safety of traffic and ensure the development of logistics potential of Sevastopol. 

Almost for two months from the moment of last meeting held by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Vilkul there were fulfilled works with engineering networks and communications. There was built a new transformer substation, electricity, water supply networks and sewerage.

For now, it is being done reconstruction of a trolley-bus contact network, accomplishment and landscaping of territories.

“While building of the motor bridge materials of national production are used. It facilitates the development of building and related industries of economics,” the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine said.
