OREANDA-NEWS. Hefei, capital of Anhui province, becomes the most innovative city in the province, according to a list.

The University of Science and Technology (USTC) released the innovation index recently, ranking the province's 17 prefecture-level cities (Chaohu included).

Hefei topped the list, with 86.43, followed by Wuhu, Tongling and Ma'anshan on 71.87, 71.38 and 62.64, respectively.

The fifth spot was claimed by Bengbu, whose innovation index scored barely 34.94.

The lowest ranking cities were Bozhou, Fuyang and Suzhou.

Meanwhile, the university also ranked the cities in terms of potential for innovation, with Wuhu, Hefei and Ma'anshan in 14th , 15th, 16th, respectively.
