Ukrsotsbank Supports International Competition for Young Pianists
OREANDA-NEWS. PJSC "Ukrsotsbank", which operates under the UniCredit Bank trade mark, will traditionally act as a sponsor of International competition for young pianists in memory of Vladimir Horowitz. The contest will be held in Kyiv from 17 April to 7 May 2013.
This musical contest, founded in honor of one of the most outstanding pianists of the XX century, our compatriot – Vladimir Horowitz, is one of main cultural events in Ukraine and is widely known abroad for more than 18 years. The Competition in memory of Vladimir Horowitz is a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions since 2004.
The contest, that has been founded in 1995, doesn’t just commemorate the outstanding pianist, but also gives a great opportunity to identify talented young pianists, giving them an opportunity to express themselves and promote their further professional growth. For 18 years, the competition has been attended by over 1000 artists from 32 countries in "Horowitz-Debut" category of the junior, middle and older group.

Over 80 young talents from 12 countries will demonstrate their skills to the wide public audience this year. Young talents will not only compete for the first places, but also for high appreciation and further possibility to express themselves as a virtuoso at the grand scenes of both Ukrainian and other world cities.
