Belarus Beer Output Reduced 6.3%/yr in Jan-Mar 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus’ beer output decreased 6.3% on the year in January-March 2013 to 9.411 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told.
In March alone Belarus’ beer output reduced 7.5% on the year to 3.425 million dal.
OJSC Krinitsa, based in Minsk, produced 2/951 million decaliters of beer, down 5.5% on the year.
OJSC Brest Beer produced 331,400 decalitres of beer, down 49%.
OJSC Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 1.829 million decaliters of beer in January-March 2013, a decrease of 10% on the year.
Heineken Belarus (Heineken Breweries based in Bobruisk, Rechitsapivo based in Gomel Region), deccreased beer output 6.7% to 2.439 million decaliters.
OJSC Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in Grodno Region, increased beer output 9.8% to 1.762 million decaliters.
Other beer manufacturers increased beer output 4.7 times year on year in January-March 2013 to 99,300 dal (including 45,600 dal produced by Polotskoye Pivo), down 58.4%.
Beer output in plastic bottles accounts for 80.6% of the total output at 7.586 million decaliters (down 9%), beer in glass bottles – 12.2% to 1.144 million decaliters (up 1.4%), beer in kegs 6.4% at 601,700 decaliters (up 21.4%) and beer in cans - 0.8% at 79,300 dal (down 6.3%).
Belarusian beer supplies to domestic wholesalers and retailers decreased 12% on the year in January-March 2013 to 7.341 million decaliters.
Heineken Belarus’ beer supplies to the domestic market reduced 12.6% year on year in January-March 2013 to 2.12 million dal; OJSC Krinitsa – down 20.4% to 1.845 dal; OJSC Olivaria – up 3.9% to 1.677 million dal; OJSC Brest Beer – down 58.2% to 191,200 dal. Lidskoye Pivo increased supplies to the domestic market by 6.8% to 1.484 million dal.
Belarusian companies’ export of beer grew 22.9% in Jan-Mar 2013 to 1.445 decaliters.
