OREANDA-NEWS. April 24, 2013. A millionth SSC-design tire was manufactured at "Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory".

The jubilee KAMA NT-201 tire of 385/65 R22,5 size was assembled by the best assembly workers of the factory Sergey Teplov, Alex Vildeev and vulcanizer operator Niyaz Galimov. The ceremonial event was attended by Zagit Sharafeev, Deputy General Director of JSC TATNEFT - Director of "Tatneft-Neftehim" Management Company and Anvar Vakhitov, Executive Director of "Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory".

The JSC TATNEFT's project for producing solid steel cord tires is one of the most promising areas of the tire business development. The Company has invested 18 billion rubles In the construction of the factory. This is the largest enterprise of the TATNEFT's tire manufacturing complex, which has no analogues in Russia and CIS with a yearly design capacity of 1.2 million tires and it was built with application of the best international practices and technologies of SSC tire manufacturing.

The enterprise currently manufactures products for the assembly of all types of trucks, buses and semi-trailer equipment. There are 49 SSC tire models in the mass production now. The plans envisage starting production of 23 more models before the end of 2013.These quality and performance-wise solid steel cord design truck tires are several times superior to the previous generation combined tires and they are not any inferior versus similar international brands.

The SSC tires differ from traditional truck tires in the way that unlike the usual tires the SSC ones have the wire frame both in the carcass and the breaker (part of the tire, which is located between the carcass and the tread). They are suitable for use in all road conditions - from highways/freeways to off-road and dirt roads. The advantages of the KAMA SSC tires include fuel efficiency, high-speed performance, life up to 500,000 kilometers with the possibility of retreading, increased load capacity and environmental friendliness. The service life of the tires increases due rubber mix components that reduce the tire overheating in motion.

Manufacturer's performance of the KAMA SSC tires has been confirmed in the real-world conditions during the operation on the roads of Russia and abroad.

The advantages of the new products of the JSC TATNEFT's petrochemical complex have been worthily assessed by the private consumers, as well as by many transport enterprises. The Nizhnekamsk solid steel core tires are supplied to complete the assembly of vehicles manufactured by JSC "KAMAZ", JSC "NefAZ" and "MZ Thonar".

During the period of operation the Nizhnekamsk solid steel cord tires have proved to be high-quality, less prone to wear, suitable for use at transport enterprises by all technical and performance characteristics.Today, the KAMA brand tires are commercially available at export markets including the countries of the CIS, Europe, the Gulf and South America (total 22 countries of the world). The tires of "NZSH CMK" production have been certified by UNECE and INMETRO (Brazil).
