Russian Helicopters to Raise Output to 450 Aircraft per year by 2020
OREANDA-NEWS. Russia Helicopters is implementing a development strategy that will enable it to increase production and its share of the global market, CEO Dmitry Petrov said.
"We plan to increase production of helicopters from 290 units in 2012 to 450 in 2020. In addition, plans call for the near doubling of annual revenue, from 126 billion rubles in 2012 to 241 billion rubles in 2020. Most importantly, we plan to increase the company's share on the world market from today's 14.5% to 18% in 2020," Petrov said at an aircraft producers' conference in Moscow.
He said Russian Helicopters is now a vertically integrated company that includes five serial production plants and two design bureaus, as well as manufacturers of key components and a helicopter service company that provides post-sale servicing for helicopters both in Russia and abroad.
Russian Helicopters has reported that its revenue and profit have grown by an average of respectively 34% and 36% in the period from 2008 to 2013. The company's portfolio of firm orders amounts to 817 helicopters worth a combined 350 billion rubles. Production at the group's plants has quadrupled since 2003.
The group operates according to international reporting standards and has an international credit rating.
"The holding is now ready for the placement of Eurobonds. In general, the company is ready for a public offering of its shares, but the current conditions on the market do not allow us to do this," Petrov said.
