New Head of Branch of Bank of Moscow Introduced New Strategy
OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 April in the Interfax press-centre a press conference of the Bank of Moscow took place introducing a new strategy of the Bank’s development in Irkutsk region and a new head of the Bank’s branch in Irkutsk.
Miguel Markaryants, Director of the Retail Department, Eugeny Monin, Head of the Regional Business Development Directorate, and Dmitry Dorozhkov, Head of the Bank’s branch in Irkutsk, took part in the press conference.
The key goals ands tasks faced by the Bank in 2013, the basic strategic directions of development of the Irkutsk branch and the plans aimed at launching the Bank’s new product lines were voiced at the press-conference.
Maintaining momentum of the credit portfolio and deposit growth, increasing the efficiency of work with pay-roll clients, developing the branch network, increasing the speed and quality of services, developing the product lines were named among the key priorities of the Bank’s retail business development.
"Another priority direction of our retail business is mortgage lending. The Bank of Moscow keeps on developing the mortgage lending network in Russia and in near future plans to launch mortgage lending in Irkutsk," stressed out Miguel Markaryants.
Speaking about developing the capacity of the small and medium size business (SMB) segment in 2013 Eugeny Monin said that the Bank plans to increase the credit portfolio of the SMB clients by 1.7 times up to 147 billion RUR, and to expand the SMB client resource base by 1.2 times up to 122 billion RUR. He also noted the positive dynamics in the work of the Irkutsk branch in the SMB segment in 2012. Thus from the beginning of the year the SMB client credit portfolio has grown by 1.6 times up to 0.3 billion RUR, the SMB client resource portfolio has grown by 1.4 times up to 0.4 billion RUR, and the number of SMB client to date is over 900 companies.
In his turn Dmitry Dorozhkov stressed out that a really ambitious task was set before the Bank’s managers, i.e. to organise the best bank for small and medium size businesses, real economy companies and their residents. According to him, in the new strategy of the Bank of Moscow the accent is laid on the regional sector and that’s where the utmost efficiency of the branch network is required.
"We shall form a stable and diversified client base, strengthen the Bank’s image on the regional level and work out efficient channels to sell up-to-date services. The Group’s management sees that Irkutsk Area has big prospects and potential in developing small and medium size businesses. Our short-range plans are to occupy a leading position in the bank market of Irkutsk Area. To implement this the Bank has a number of competitive advantages including the client-focused policy, continuous improvement of the business, high management efficiency and an optimum solution of the financial problems faced by our clients irrespective of their scale and level of complexity", said Dmitry Dorozhkov.
