OREANDA-NEWS. On April 22, a meeting was held at the Head office of SOCAR with Lev Freinkman, Senior Economist at BP.

 During the meeting, SOCAR vice-president of economic issues Suleyman Gasimov said that Azerbaijan had rapidly integrated into the world energy and economic system in the recent years. According to him, SOCAR often hosts such meetings with the experts of the world’s leading energy companies and such events are very important for specialists of SOCAR.

In turn, Mr. Freinkman expressed gratitude for reception and afterwards, made a presentation on Development forecasts of the world energy by 2030. The presentation reflected the growth rate of energy demand in comparison with previous years, oil and gas production in different regions of the world and other issues of economic importance.

In the course of the presentation, senior economist of bp responded the questions of attendees in detail.
