OREANDA-NEWS. April 22, 2013. A Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Vilkul held a working meeting with Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, a co-owner of the world’s largest metallurgic company Arcelor Mittal. Olexandr Vilkul accented on the need to realize social and environmental projects and the necessity to invest in modernization of productive facilities of the Arcelor Mittal in Kryvyi Rih.

Lakshmi Niwas Mittal thanked to Olexandr Vilkul for the support of projects of the company now and in the times when the Vice Prime Minister –in – Office had been the leader of Dnipropetrovsk region. “We can see in You, Olexandr Yuriyovych, an official who possesses professional knowledge in mining and metallurgical complex and renders a system support to the branch,” Lakshmi Niwas Mittal said.

“In the framework of the Program of activization of the economic development the Government elaborates certain steps in raising competitiveness of the national steelmaking, which appears budget-forming for the economics of the country. In particular, it concerns development of the domestic demand market for metal. It happens at the account of realization of a large-scale projects of construction of infrastructure objects, roads, bridges and other engineering structures and also building of accommodation and support of national machine-building,” Olexandr Vilkul said.
