Industrial Bank Reports on Results of Chengdu Branch Work
OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2013. By the end of December 2012, the balance of common deposits of Industrial Bank (IB) Chengdu Branch both in home and foreign currencies hit RMB 58.911 billion, increasing by RMB 16.884 billion over the beginning of this year, a growth of 40.17%. The balance of various loans both in home and foreign currencies reached RMB 37.939 billion, increasing RMB 7.003 billion, a growth of 22.64%, as compared with the beginning of the year.
The bank ranked No. 2 among the 11 joint-stock commercial banks in terms of increased deposits both in home and foreign currencies, loans, corporate deposits and savings deposits, and No.1 in terms of increased corporate loans.
In 2012, IB Chengdu Branch was appraised as the “National Model Institution for Anti-money Laundering” by the Headquarters of the People's Bank of China (PBC), the “Model Credit Reporting Institution of Sichuan Province” and “Entity with Outstanding Contribution for the Improvement of Banking Data Quality” by Sichuan Banking Regulatory Commission, the “Model Entity for Assessment of Payment and Settlement” by PBC Chengdu Branch, and the “Model Entity in Organizing the Work of Trade Union” by Sichuan Provincial Trade Union of Finance, Trade, Light Industry, Chemical and Textile. The outlet department of the branch was also appraised as one of the “2012 Top 1000 Units for Demonstration in the Chinese Banking Industry”. Meanwhile, the branch also won the honors of the 2012 Best Wealth Management Bank and 2012 Bank with the Greatest Growth Potential in the 2012 China (Chengdu) Financial Rankings.
Recently, the “2012 Appraisal of CSR Performance in Sichuan Banking Industry” sponsored by Sichuan Banking Association was announced to the public. The “Enjoyable Life” Club of IB Chengdu Branch won the “Annual Best Social Responsibility Practice Case Prize”, which aims to commend and encourage the banking financial institutions with leading project experience in the industry to make further exploration and innovation in the innovative practice of social responsibilities.
