Government of Ukraine Raises Pensions
OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2013. The Government has raised pensions from March 1, 2013. A respective resolution “On raising rates of pensions in connection with growth of an average salary of official employees in Ukraine” was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers on April 15, 2013.
The document determines a coefficient of increase of average salary for the previous year – 1.0298, which corresponds to 20% of speed of growth of an average wage for 2012 in comparison with 2011.
Hence, citizens will receive a raise rate from UAH 35 to 135. So, pursuant to the law “About compulsory state pension insurance” 348.72 thousand persons are to undergo raise of pensions. With average pension of UAH 2 227 the rate of increase totals UAH 35. For 380.35 thousand of Chernobyl victims who receive pension amounting UAH 3 904 in average, the rate of increase totals UAH 116. Additional rate of UAH 78 will be received to the pension by ex-servicemen who get UAH 2 613 in average.
