OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. of FY2012. On a cumulative basis, the volume from April 2012 up to and including March 2013 totaled 14,201.141 million m3, an increase of 3.2% from the same period of FY 2011.

As for the residential sector, annual sales volume was 3,426.801 million m3, almost equal to that of FY2012 (up 0.1%) because the number of new customers increased, though the temperature effect was negative.

As for the business sector, recovered operation rate after the Great East Japan Earthquake, etc. led to the increased annual sales volume by 0.7% to 2,689.444 million m3 in spite of the temperature negative effect.

In the industrial sector, the development of new demands following the commencement of new trunk lines and the increased demand for power generation contributed to the increased annual sales volume by 8.1% to 5,888.807 million m3.

In the wholesale sector, annual sales volume decreased by 0.7% to 2,196.088 million m3, due to the decreased demand of wholesale gas suppliers.
