Ukraine: Export Volumes to EU Countries Up by 18%
OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2013. In the first quarter of 2013 the amount of export to the EU countries grew by 18%, as compared to the respective period of 2012, and amounted USD 4.4 bln, while export to the CIS countries fell by 14% and amounted USD 5.3 bln.
Among the EU countries the principal partner of Ukraine is Germany: operations with the country made up 2% in the general export amount and 8% in the general import amount.
Import volumes to the EU states in comparison to the respective period of 2012 upped by 2% and totaled USD 5.6 bln, while import volumes to the CIS states fell by 15% and totaled USD 6.7 bln.
Among principal trade partners of the CIS countries the most active is Russia, the share of which in the general import amount makes up 31%, and export amount – 23%.
Overall during the I quarter of 2013 Ukraine was involved in foreign trade operations with 206 world countries.
