OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2013. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Government of the Stavropol region upon signs of violating Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” and Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Regulating Trading Activity”.

The Government of the Stavropol region passed a decree prohibiting from 15th July 2012 retail sale of alcohol products in foodservice outlets located in cultural organizations as well as in recreational areas (within the boundaries of parks, public gardens, beaches). On 24 July 2012, the decree was amended permitting retail sale of alcohol products in foodservice outlets before relevant licenses expire.

Under the federal laws restrictions of retail sales of alcohol products are not applicable to retail sales in foodservice outlets.

The case is scheduled on 15th May 2013.
