OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2013. Qatar Petroleum’s Offshore Operations recently organized a blood donation campaign in partnership with QP’s Medical Services Department and the Blood Donation Unit of Hamad Medical Corporation.

The blood donation campaign, which was held at QP’s building in Ras Abu Aboud, was supported by a large number of employees from various QP departments.

“As everyone knows, donated blood plays a highly important role in saving lives, and this campaign is our way of helping to ensure that there would always be blood available for those who may need it,” said Mr. Mubarak A. Al-Hajri, Operations Manager-Offshore Fields.

In his comments, Dr. Ahmed K. Al-Badran, Acting Manager for Medical Services of QP, said: “We are glad to extend our strong support to this initiative of QP’s Offshore Operations, and we would like to thank all those who took an active part in this blood donation campaign.”

Mr. Al-Hajri likewise expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the support of H.E. Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of QP, Mr. Said Mubarak Al-Mohannadi, Director Operations, and all Offshore Operations staff. He also thanked the campaign coordinator from QP, Mr. Ali Jassim Al-Malki, and all blood donors who made this campaign a successful one.
