IBA Group Discussed Information Society in Belarus
OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2013. IBA Group held roundtable discussions devoted to its 20th anniversary and development of information society in Belarus. Held in Minsk, Belarus, the event “IBA Group: investing in Belarusian information society for 20 years, we improve the quality of life”. Alexander Kurbatsky, PhD, Head of the BSU Software Engineering Department moderated the discussion.
Belarusian government officials, representatives of Belarusian banks, companies, universities, and media participated in the event.
The participants argued about the challenges facing state governing bodies, banks and other financial institutions, manufacturing companies, and educational institutions that implement information technologies. In addition, the parties spoke about the IBA’s significant contribution to the implementation of state programs aimed at increasing the level of automation and efficiency, and about the IBA investments in the Belarusian education.
Sergei Levteev, IBA CEO, comments: “We never stood aside from the reformation processes in Belarus and shall continue to support them. We contribute to the transformations that are taking place in the country. The projects that IBA implemented in Belarus are primarily aimed at introducing the best international IT practices, the highest standards, and improving the quality of life for our people who deserve to live and work in better conditions. IT serves to develop information society and defines the landscape of our today and tomorrow.”
