OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2013. Xu Feihong, Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan conducted an inspection tour to the jobsite of Kabul University in Afghanistan. This project was contracted by the 19th China Metallurgical Construction Group (19MCC Group).

On the site, Ambassador Xu inspected the construction works and inquired about the general layout and function of each section which had been completed. Project Manager Xu Shaokun made a briefing on the implementation progress of relevant facilities and the difficulties in the follow-up period. Xu Feihong spoke highly of the achievements made by 19MCC Group. He placed a high premium on the construction workers and the management staff, and encouraged them to conduct the works on a quality and timely basis. Xu emphasized that, under such assistance project, all the participants shouldered the great trust of the country and therefore should enable the project to act as a friendship bridge between Afghanistan and China.

The Ambassador expected the project staff to take care of their health by combining exertion and rest. He suggested organizing entertainment activities during spare time so as to remove the physiological fatigue and mental tension caused for the employees during the project implementation in foreign countries.

The assistance project of Kabul University undertaken by 19MCC Group consists of the teaching building for Chinese Dept. and the guesthouse for teachers of the University. The project was commenced in October 2012. Up to now, the concrete casting works of the 2nd floor of the guesthouse apartment has been finished. This has laid a consolidated foundation for the smooth top-sealing of the main building in the end of this year.
