HTC Develops New-Type High-Efficiency & Energy-Conservation Device
OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2013. Huatian Engineering & Technology Corporation of MCC (HTC) declared that, the dual-regenerative combustion device (which could utilize both lower-calorific-value generator-gas and air) was successfully put into commissioning in Wenxi County of Shanxi Province.
This is a new type of high-efficiency and energy-saving device developed by HTC for the aluminum melting furnace (15t) and the holding furnace (15t) of Ruige Magnesium Co., Ltd.
This kind of combustion device changes the organizing and mixing methods of the flame, according to which both the fuel and the oxidizing air will be preheated to 800-1000 before combustion. As a matter of fact, this will not only effectively improve the melting of the solid aluminum, but also enhance the combustion efficiency and reduce the exhaust gas temperature to be under 150.
Through the dual-regenerative method, the high-temperature flue gas discharged from the auxiliary flue can be retained, thus all the enthalpy contained in the gas can be returned to the combustion chamber and the saving ratio of the fuel can be increased. By this means, remarkable benefit could be generated due to the energy conservation. In this regard, the saving ration can be increased by over 40% comparing to the ordinary combustion, and more than 15% comparing to the single-regenerative method.
The completion of this project is deemed to be of great significance because it has: (i) further promoted the practical applicability of the lower-calorific-value generator-gas in the aluminum melting furnace; (ii) improved the mixing method in relation to the lower-calorific-value gas at the nozzle, which will enable the full combustion of the fuel; (iii) tackled the difficult problem on the failure of autoignition of the lower-calorific-value gas and acquired a leading position in this field in China; and (iv) filled the gap in applying lower-calorific-value gas to the aluminum melting equipment.
