Moldova Saw 0,1% Inflation in March
OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2013. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, within January, 2012 – January, 2013 it made 4.2%. According to NBS, in March, 2013 foodstuff went 0.1% down, prices for nonfoods increasing 0.3%.
Tariffs for services to consumers rose 0.1%. Prices increased 2.6% for potatoes, 1.5% for wheat flower; 1.2% for grapes, 0.7% for fresh vegetables (including 2.9% for tomatoes, 1.4% for carrot, 1.4% for mushrooms and 1.4% for sugar beets), 0.9% for bread and 0.7% for sugar. Prices went down 13.^% for chicken eggs, 2.1% for pork, 1.5% for other meat and semi-prepared meat products, 1.2% for cabbage, 1.1% for fruit, 0.9% for onions and 0.6% for fresh and frozen fish. As for nonfoods, fuel and cloths went up 0.2% and 0.3% respectively in the reporting period.
The increase in prices for detergents, medicines, hygienic means, TV sets, fridges and cosmetics varied from 0.2% to 0.9%. Cigarette prices grew 1%. At the same time, prices declined 1.4% for fur menswear and between 0.5% to 0.6% for outerwear and boots. In March prices for cervices rendered to the population also grew. In particular, the kindergarten fee grew 6%, the lawyer fee rose 5.8% and the taxi services went 1.5% up.
At the same time, prices decreased 3.2% foreign tourism services, 0.3% for international railway transportation, and 0.2% for air transportation.
