OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2013. By demonstrating high indicators, the financial and banking system in our country has been operating steadily. The aggregate capital of the banking system grew by 24.3 percent in 2012, doubling its size for the last three years.

Currently, the level of capital sufficiency constitutes 24.0 percent – thrice the indicator of universal international standards. In 2010, as few as 13 commercial banks of this country enjoyed positive international rating indicators; they have grown in number since to reach the current 28.

Instrumental on this front has been the consistent implementation of tasks outlined in President Islam Karimov’s 26 November 2010 resolution on priority dimensions of intensifying the reforms and cementing the sustainability of the financial and banking system of the Republic during 2011-2015 and achieving high international rating indicators.

This was stressed in particular at the present exhibition organized by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with committees of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis for budget and economic reforms, as well as information and communication technologies, the Association of Enterprises and Organizations of Information Technologies, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The Deputy President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Haidarov, Director General of the Association of Banks of Uzbekistan S.Abdullaev, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry U.Ernazarov and others noted that the steadfast reforms undertaken under the leadership of President Islam Karimov in the banking and financial sphere have facilitated a secure development of the national banking system, a further economic growth in the country and enhancement of the wellbeing of people.

More than thirty banks are operating effectively in Uzbekistan. The information on all services offered by them is presented in the pavilions of the ExpositionTradeCenter. Also on display are the goods and services offered by leading insurance and leasing companies, local and foreign IT firms.

The major goal sought from the exhibition, deriving from the objectives delineated in the State Program “The Year of Wellbeing and Prosperity”, is to provide with information and consulting on bank services made available for small businesses and family enterprises, young families, graduates of education institutions, and for those willing to embark on entrepreneurship.

“Owing to the lines of credit from the Landerbank Berlin AG and Gommerzbank, opportunities are opening up for procurement of cutting-edge equipment from Germany and other European nations. We would like to make use of these opportunities with benefit for the further development of the enterprise.”

The “Bank Kiosk” presented at the exposition by the company Texsistemaservis stirred everyone’s interest. As one of the latest technological achievements, this compact system can offer services at the level of a bank office. Noteworthy is that the bank kiosk can work round the clock, seven days a week, and it can be installed in any format depending on the ground allocated.

The distance-service bank system “Hayda” created by the Universalbank allows for making payments for bills and sending money to any part of the world by the Internet and by staying at home. Through this scheme, one can pay for the services of internet providers and mobile phone operators.
