OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2013. The representatives of the ASX-listed company Manas Resources Limited attended Mines and Money Hong Kong.

With around 3,500 international institutional investors, brokers and investment analysts, Mines and Money Hong Kong is one of the major events for mining companies around the globe. The two-day exhibition presents a great opportunity for junior miners and explorers to showcase their projects and meet representatives of the leading financial institutions, software and engineering companies from different parts of the world.
 
Managing Director of Manas Resources Limited Stephen Ross gave a short presentation on the development of the company’s gold project Shambesai. The gold production at the Shambesai gold deposit is scheduled for 2014. Following the presentation, Mr Ross met a number of investors and answered their questions in relation to the company’s activities in general and the Shambesai project development in Kadamjai region, Batken oblast in particular.

On 21 March 2013 Stephen Ross met Mr Temir Sariev, KR Minister of Economy. During the meeting, representatives of the international research and investment company interested in investment opportunities in the Kyrgyz Republic were introduced to Mr. Sariev. Minister of Economy described the present investment environment in the Kyrgyz Republic, latest developments in the KR tax, land and subsoil legislation and political stability in the country. Investors expressed their support for the Kyrgyz Government’s initiatives aimed at improving the subsoil use legislation and a hope that the new legislation will create favourable conditions for the development of mining sector.
