OREANDA-NEWS. A meeting was held at the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) with the delegation led by Minister for Economy, Education and Research of Switzerland Johann Schneider-Ammann.

 Welcoming the guests, head of the SOCAR Department of Marketing Economic Operations Adnan Ahmadzade and Deputy head of SOCAR Investments Department Zaur Gahramanov spoke about the close relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland in the recent years.

The sides noted that issues on energy play an important role in the development of relations between the two countries. Touching on the importance of the projects being implemented in Switzerland, SOCAR officials said that the company would enhance the cooperation with the country in the coming years.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of mutual interest.
